Brown's Close - Self-Catering on Edinburgh's Royal Mile 

 

This is a welcoming, modern and bright self-catering apartment in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. It is located on the Canongate, a part of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, convenient for most of Edinburgh's historic attractions, museums, galleries, Festival venues, and theatres.  Very close to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament building, it is ideally located for visitors on vacation or for business travellers.  
 

Fully equipped, the accommodation consists of a large lounge with dining area, bedroom with king-sized bed, fully-fitted kitchen and shower-room. The flat is heated by a gas central-heating system, with radiators in every room.   
 

The lounge area has a large corner sofa, which converts into a bed to accommodate a further 2 people if required. A glass-panelled door leads out onto a small balcony. For entertainment, there is a flat-screen television and a music system. There is also a dining area with table and chairs. 
 

The kitchen is fully fitted, with integrated appliances and breakfast bar in the kitchen. The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton linen, and a wardrobe and dressing table. The shower-room has an electric shower, heated towel-rail, and wash-hand basin with illuminated mirror and electric shaver point.

The Waverley railway station is less than 10 minutes’ walk away, and there are a number of choices for getting to the apartment from Edinburgh Airport.

 

 

 

 

 

 

For those arriving by car, there is on-street metered parking or longer-term paid parking nearby, or free on-street parking approximately 10-15 minutes walk away. 

 

 

 

 

 

The flat is on the Canongate, within 200 metres of the Scottish Parliament building and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and within walking distance of most of Edinburgh’s major tourist attractions. A large number of these are within a 10-minute walk from the apartment – see “Edinburgh Attractions” for more information.  

 

 

The apartment is also well placed for exploring further afield, with city tour buses passing the door and with a direct connection to Ocean Terminal and the Royal Yacht Britannia.

 

 

 

There are many places to eat and drink in the Old Town, and the Brown’s Close apartment is only minutes from a selection of these, from coffee houses and tearooms through pubs, pizza and Mexican restaurants to award-winning fine dining.  

For those who are interested in shopping, both Princes Street and the St James Centre are about 15 minutes walk away. Major attractions include the John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and Jenners department stores.
